Certified Project Management Professionals UK (CPMPuk) is established in the United Kingdom and Registered as a non-profit organization with the following objectives and Mandates:

  1. To function as a professional body of Project Management Professionals and to bring together those individuals who offer services in the field of Project Management.
  2. To improve standards of professional performance in all Project Management Knowledge Areas and Project Management Process Groups.
  3. To encourage the training and development of Project Managers and other Project Management Professionals.
  4. To provide opportunities for dialogue among practicing Project Managers and associated professionals.
  5. To increase the understanding of Project Management’s importance and true role in both business and government.
  6. To provide opportunities for Project Management professionals to improve their technical and Project Management skills through specialized training and career development programmes.
  7. To gain public recognition for the body’s certification and to enhance the reputation of Project Management as a profession.
  8. To assure the public that members possess the ethical standards and the professional competence and independence required for membership and are, therefore, qualified to practice.
  9. To help ensure standards which will engender public confidence and trust in the Project Management profession.
  10. To collaborate with similar UK based institutions as well as similar international organisations for the promotion of standards in Project Management, manpower training and management research.
  11. To promote ethical and high standards of professional Project Management worldwide and especially in the Economic and Political block of the Commonwealth of Nations.
  12. To train and certify Project Managers and researchers in the field of Project Management.
  13. To train, examine, assess, grade and certify trainee Project Managers and members of the body to indicate levels of achievement.
  14. To award Memberships and Fellowships to indicate seniority in the profession of Project Management.
  15. To publish journals, books and advocacy articles to promote understanding of Project Management’s true value.
  16. To promote online learning and global interaction among Project Managers.
  17. To organise conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia and trainings to promote Project Management.
  18. To organise seminars, trainings, workshops, symposia and conferences for the development of human resource in all areas of the Project Management profession including the development of Project Management Consultants.

 

Our Mission

We exist to create, maintain and extend high standards of professionalism in Project Management through initiatives in building character, capacity, competence and ethical conduct of Project Management Professionals.

Our Vision

To train and certify not less than 500 Project Management Professionals spread among countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and in the Americas; and to produce not less than 50 MBAs with specialization in Project Management in collaboration with UNESCO-Listed Universities by the year 2027
